Mirus Partnerships and Alliances

Mirus Property Management understands the importance of staying active in the industry and in the community. Below are a few of the key alliances and active partners in the industry and Central Indiana market.

 

Indiana Apartment Association

The Indiana Apartment Association is a statewide trade organization serving the apartment industry in the state of Indiana.

1. To promote, advise and protect the general interests of the ownership and management of multi-family housing in the Indiana area by uniting those engaged in the business.

2. To uphold the dignity of the property management profession and to acquire and disseminate useful business information among its members, to foster a spirit of cooperation among its members; to cultivate higher standards of practice and business ethics.

Currently the Indiana Apartment Association represents over 200,000 units throughout the state, including members in ten affiliated chapters. The Association provides owners and management companies a constructive force through which to work together for the betterment of the industry.

A Board of Directors governs the Indiana Apartment Association. The board is comprised of member representatives from across the state. Headed by the Executive Director, a qualified staff assists in providing the manpower necessary for maintaining a positive image for the industry and representing the Association professionally.

 

IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management)

The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has been the source for education, resources, information, and membership for real estate management professionals for more than 75 years. An affiliate of the National Association of Realtors®, IREM is the only professional real estate management association serving both the multi-family and commercial real estate sectors. With 80 U.S. chapters, 10 international chapters and several other partnerships around the globe, IREM is an international organization that also serves as an advocate on issues affecting the real estate management industry.

 

CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member)

The CCIM movement began more than 40 years ago with commercial real estate practitioners who wanted to elevate their business practices through focused education and networking opportunities. Still today, education and networking remain the cornerstones of the CCIM designation and the reason for its success. The CCIM Institute confers the CCIM designation and is an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).

 

Tippecanoe County Apartment Association

The Tippecanoe Apartment Association’s mission is to enhance the opportunity for quality rental housing through the promotion of education, professional development, networking and meaningful communication.

The TAA is a volunteer organization that serves individuals & businesses involved in the ownership, management, maintenance and operation of apartments and other rental dwellings in the Greater Lafayette/West Lafayette Area.

National Association of Realtors

All real estate licensees are not the same. Only real estate licensees who are members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® are properly called REALTORS®. They proudly display the REALTOR "®" logo on the business card or other marketing and sales literature. REALTORS® are committed to treat all parties to a transaction honestly. REALTORS® subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics and are expected to maintain a higher level of knowledge of the process of buying and selling real estate. An independent survey reports that 84% of home buyers would use the same REALTOR® again.

 

Indiana Real Estate Commission

The purpose of the Indiana Real Estate Commission is to safeguard the  public interest through encouraging and requiring high standards of knowledge, through encouraging ethical practices, through disciplining licensees who engage in dishonest, fraudulent or criminal activities in the conduct of real estate transactions or management and through causing the prosecution of any person who violates the Indiana Real Estate License Law.

Indiana Chamber of Commerce

Founded in 1922, the mission of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce is to work proactively on behalf of its members and constituents.  It recognizes that this can best be achieved by providing a world-competitive business climate throughout the state in order to maximize opportunity for meaningful employment of all Indiana citizens.

The Chamber does this by advancing thoughtful legislation and public policy, and serving as the convenient source of reliable business information for our members and constituents.  It has full-time legislative experts in the areas of tax and public finance, education and congressional affairs, environment and energy, economic.

The Chamber has two related entities.  The Indiana Chamber Foundation funds studies, initiates actions and seeks solutions that positively impact Indiana’s economic future and enhance the quality of life for all Hoosiers. Indiana Business for Responsive Government is the Chamber's political action committee that works to elect pro-business candidates to the Indiana General Assembly.
